Housing

Conversion of the former headquarters of Nantes Habitat into residential buildings. 85 units, 90 parking spaces and creation of a public park.

In the heart of the Hauts Pavés - Saint Félix district in Nantes, this new housing operation fits into a diverse urban environment, that combines bourgeois homes, town houses, collective housing, landscaped boulevards. This project is an opportunity for the site to break with its past confidentiality, to connect to the city, and to offer a new amenity. The architecture is organized so as to benefit as much as possible of the privileged position of the plot while playing with constraints. The project, made of three buildings of various heights and volumes, perfectly fits into the urban landscape. Its deconstructing and the shift of the facades offer a variety of augmented spaces (loggias, terraces, gardens), a maximum light input, and a plurality of views. The complex is open on its environment through two paths that invite the resident and the passerby to head for the public park located at the heart of the block.
